Common second thoughts, answered.
What if the moment is already over by the time it develops?
That's the whole point. The night happens once, undistracted. The reveal happens afterwards — at brunch, on the way home, the next time you're together. It's the part most people end up loving most.
You can set the reveal as close as 30 minutes out or as far as a week, depending on the kind of memory you're keeping.
Can my guests join without installing the app?
Yes. On iPhone they scan a QR and an App Clip opens straight into the camera — no download, no sign-in. On Android we open the same shooter in the browser. Guests can capture up to 48 frames without an account.
Who owns the photos?
You do. The photographer of each frame owns it; the host of a film keeps the canonical roll. Export to camera roll, RAW, or print at any point. We don't train models on your photos, and we don't show ads.
Does it work offline?
You can shoot without signal — frames sync the moment you're connected. The reveal waits for everyone's frames to land before it opens, so nobody is left out.
Do hosts and guests both need an internet connection?
Hosts need an internet connection to create and manage a film, but guests can take photos offline. Everything syncs automatically once they reconnect, so no one misses a shot.
Is Ever Shots a QR guest camera or a shared photo album app?
It is both. Guests scan a QR code and shoot with the Ever Shots camera, and every frame goes into one shared album that the host keeps. It is also a digital disposable camera, since each guest has a limited number of shots and the photos stay hidden until the reveal.
What is a QR guest camera? →How do guests join on Android?
Android guests scan the same QR code or open the same link, and the camera opens in the browser. There is nothing to install and no account to make.
What iPhones support App Clips, and what happens on older ones?
App Clips run on iPhones with iOS 14 or later. A guest whose phone can't open the App Clip can still use the same QR code or link in the browser.
How many shots does each guest get, and can I change it?
Each guest gets up to 48 shots by default, and you can change the cap before the night begins, whether that's fifteen, thirty or fifty. A lower cap keeps the roll considered, and a higher one gives guests room to experiment.
Can I preview photos before everyone sees them?
Yes. As host you can preview your own frames at any point during the night, and the seal only applies to other guests until the reveal opens for everyone. After the reveal you can hide any frame from the public roll without losing the original.
Can guests upload from their camera roll?
Guests shoot inside the Ever Shots camera, so the roll is made of frames taken during the event. Importing photos from a phone's camera roll isn't part of how a film works today.
Are albums private? Who can see them?
Yes. A film is private and secure, and guests join with the QR code or link you share. Guests can't see each other's frames until the reveal.
Can I download everything in full resolution?
Yes. Every film includes full 4K export for every guest, and you can export or archive the roll at any point after the reveal.
How long are photos kept?
Your original files are stored for as long as the film exists on your account. We don't keep a separate archive of edited or filtered versions.
Can I add guests mid-event?
Yes. You can add guest capacity to a film that's already live without starting over.
